Final Magazine Front Cover, Contents and Article

This is my finished front cover, I have used various conventions such as tag lines, straplines, a barcode, large image, small images, a large headline band, a dat, a price and various other offers and bands on the front. I've gone for an indie style to try and appeal to my indie audience.
My article is 1000 words and has a large headline indicating what the article is about and who is in it. It has a large front image to advertise the band, and a smaller image at the top. It is an interview style journalistic article venturing into what the band has been up to since the last interview.
My contents page has a band index showing exactly what bands are included in the magazine and various offers such as subscriptions and opportunities. It also includes images of other bands featured, reviews, live music, interviews and main headline news in the indie music world.

Photoshoot etc.

My photo shoot will take place on Monday 13th of December when Charlie, Jack and Tom will be in the studio. I will take some close up direct pictures of them there and go to their band practice on Tuesday the 14th to take some photos of them playing.

Front Cover Draft

I've made a draft for the front cover of my magazine. The first thing i'd change on my final piece is the centre image, I want an image of the band looking directly at the audience. My taglines of 'Paul Weller' 'Alex Turner' and 'Carl Barat' will also be different and I will make them look alot more professional when I make my final design. I think my main title stands out well and my headline of 'Bangladeshi' also is very eye catching. My font from dafont.com also fits well with my genre of magazine. On my final design I will include a date, advertisements and other details that I haven't put in this idea.

Some good work so far. Remeber to discuss and analyse anything you put on your blog.

We are now half way and you should be on with your planning. There are ten days left to take all your images and begin to construct your pages.
